About the Department
Hon’ble Management of our College decided to start NCC Activity of Senior Division in 1970.3/35 (A) COY NCC Company Was established under the command of the Sri. C. R. BADA. In the whole district, our college was first to have NCC Unit. Later, NCC Battalion was established in 1970 and was housed in our college campus for many years. Our college has provided all necessary facilities to the NCC Unit. Earlier,
when Ncc was compulsory to all students the company has many officers namely Sri. C. R. BADA (1970 to 1971), Major S. P. BAGLI (1971 to 1995), Capt. S. S. PATIL(1995 to 2002), Lt. S. V. Hosmani (2003 to 2007), Lt. K. P. KANTRAJ (2007 to 2011), and Care Taker Ct. K. K. RATHOD (2011-2013). In the year 2013 to the commend Of the company was transferred to present company commander Capt. Dr. RAMESH B. SHAHAPURKAR
- Develop character, commandership – the ideal of service and capacity for leadership in young men & women.
- Provide service training to young men & women as also to stimulate Interest in the defence of the country.
- Build up a reserve of potential officers to enable the armed force to expand rapidly in a national emergency.
- Make them good mentally and physically fit.
- Make them a good and disciplined citizen by developing their character and capability for leadearship.
- Develop in them a sense of patriotism, team spirit, and self-confidence.
- Train thm=em for social service and teack them the dignity of labour.
❑ To develop qualities of characters, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular our look, sprit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of self less service among the youth to make them use full citizens.
❑ To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life, including the armed force forces and always available for service of the nation.
❑ To provide a suitable environment to motivated the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
